Florence, a young woman from Nabdam in Ghana’s Upper East region, has transformed her life through determination and hard work. After enrolling in WEE-North’s Training to Employment Program, she gained plumbing skills at Bolgatanga Technical and earned a Nationally recognized Proficiency One certificate.
Florence’s quality plumbing services quickly gained popularity, leading to numerous recommendations and job opportunities. She actively participated in her district’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Group, engaging in work contracts, saving, and community activities. Today, Florence is a successful plumber, instructor, and greenhouse farm manager at Zoab Foods in Accra.
She’s passionate about her work, training young men in plumbing, and managing a greenhouse. Florence aspires to expand her knowledge in greenhouse farming and empower women in her community upon her return to Nabdam.
