Evelyn’s determination and resilience are truly inspiring

As the eldest of four siblings, she took on additional responsibilities after her father’s passing at a young age. But she refused to let challenges hold her back. Through the WEE-NORTH training and employment program, Evelyn gained skills as an electrician and passed the energy commission license examination. She’s also diversified into tiling and basket weaving, showcasing her versatility. Currently, she’s pursuing a diploma in electronic and electrical engineering at Bolgatanga Technical University. On weekends, she works alongside her boss, honing her skills and gaining experience. Her commitment to supporting her family and community is remarkable. Juggling multiple jobs and responsibilities, Evelyn’s journey is a testament to the power of hard work, passion, and perseverance.
