Ubaida, a mother of three with a Junior High education, joined the WEE-North program to pursue plumbing, a trade often considered for men. With her husband’s support, she overcame family resistance and successfully completed her training. Today, Ubaida is a certified plumber with National Proficiency 1 and 2 qualifications.She founded Queen Confidence Plumbing, trains apprentices, and mentors WEE-Groups in East Mamprusi and Nanton. Ubaida’s story has been featured on The Reflection Show and Sanatu-Zanbang podcast, where she inspires other women and girls to pursue careers in the trades.
